Details about The Police tour

Tuesday, February 13, 2007

The Police opened the 49th Grammy Awards and they have just started to have fun. After a long absence from the stages The Police announced a North American tour set for this summer. The tour will start in Vancouver (on May 28) and will close with two performances in New York (on August first days).

The Police tour will then continue in Europe in the autumn and move on to Mexico and Australia later. According to early reports the Police, after leaving North America, will tour in the U.K., Holland, Germany, Italy and France. More countries will probably be announced later. Before starting the Police tour the band will also be on stage at the Bonnaroo festival (scheduled for March 16).

The Police tour announcement was just the icing on the cake of a fabulous performance by the band. The group received a standing ovation after performing on their best hits, Roxanne. On stage the three artists showed a good form considering their long absence from the stages. The Police tour announced yesterday will celebrate their 30th anniversary but the Police did not tour since 1984.

As for the tickets those for the Vancouver date of the Police tour will be available starting from this Saturday. The expected ticket cost for the North American dates of the Police tour is between $50 USD and $225 USD. Part of the proceeds of the Police tour will be handed to Water Aid, a nongovernmental charity organization.
