Carrie Underwood Wins Best CMT Video of the YearTuesday, April 17, 2007 Carrie Underwood won the best CMT Music Video of the Year award for 2007 on Monday for her popular new song "Before He Cheats". The 24-year-old musician from Oklahoma has proven she can compete with the best country music singers in the industry despite her age, and had the following to say: It was at the CMT Awards last year that I gave my very first acceptance speech ever. Let me tell you, it's great to be up here again. I started out on a fan-based show, and you guys have continued to support me through everything. The popular artist also won the award last year for her hit single "Jesus Take the Wheel" which makes this years victory even sweeter. At the 2007 CMT music awards Underwood surpassed Rascal Flatts and Toby Keith in votes. Also at this years awards Taylor Swift, only 17, took home the award for Breakthrough Video of the Year with her popular single "Tim McGraw".
