Chris Brown Facing 2 Felonie ChargesThursday, March 05, 2009 After an argument that turned violent with girlfriend and singer Rihanna, Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies. If the 19 year old R and B singer is convicted in court he could possibly face probation or even up to four years in prison. Currently Chris Brown is free after posting $50,000 bail but is expected to appear in court Thursday afternoon. The charges against him include making criminal threats as well as assault likely to cause great bodily injury. De Shon Andrews, a Los Angeles police detective, states that on February 08, 2009 Rihanna nearly lost consciousness after several attacks as well as being choked after a dispute over a text message from another girl that was found on Chris Browns cell phone, which apparently is what sparked the argument. No comments were made by a spokesperson of Rihanna's regarding the charges against Brown. Whether or not Brown is charged and found guilty, it is already being reported that sponsors have decided to no longer renew his record deals. Powered by dBLOGGER |
