Matt Giraud Gets A Warm Welcome Home

Former American Idol contestant Matt Giraud was greeted at a public party by hundreds of people after arriving back home in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Thursday. The talented singer and pianist was surprised to see so much support and spent about half an hour posing for pictures as well as signing autographs for several adoring fans.

Matt finished in 5th place on American Idol this year, quite an amazing accomplishment. Even though he was voted off of the popular Fox tv show, at 23 years old he has accomplished more than many people who attempt to make it big in the highly competitive music industry. You can bet we will be hearing much more from this musician in the years to come.

Due to his contract with American Idol, Matt was unable to perform at the party, but Drop 35, Matt's former band did put on a good performance for the people who attended.
