Arkansas Singer Kris Allen Signs First Record Deal

23 year old American Idol winner Kris Allen has signed a record deal with music producing company 19 Recordings. It will be released through Jive Records which is owned by Sony Music Entertainment and is expected to hit store shelves sometime this fall.

Kris mentioned that the genre of his debut album will be pop/rock, similar to what fans heard while he was competing on American Idol.

Prior to releasing his first record, Kris Allen will have a busy summer while performing with fellow American Idol contestants in their tour which spans 50 cities. The summer tour begins in July.
