Former KISS Drumer Discusses Breast CancerWednesday, October 21, 2009 Many people may not be aware of this, but breast cancer which is a disease normally associated with women, can also occur in men.
One of the founding members of the well known rock band KISS, Peter Criss, was recently treated and cured of this disease but explains how important it is for men to take this sort of thing seriously if it happens to them, put their machoness aside and seek treatment right away. A lot of men may not think this could ever possibly happen to them, but it is estimated that 440 men will die from it this year in the U.S. alone. Back in early 2008 the 63 year old drummer underwent both a lumpectomy and mastectomy. Peter Chris is currently working on a new rock album as well as an autobiography. He claims his recent battle with cancer has had an effect on some of his songwriting. Powered by dBLOGGER |
